Here’s that rare occasion when Eternia reissues some already released music. This time it’s the all-rounder NotioN and a new version of his 2015 modern classic EP entitled “Cannon Seeker”. It comes back to life, kicking and shining with all the four already released tunes, supplemented with two new ones, plus it boasts new stunning artwork our label is famous for.
Things get started with the title track, which is nothing but pure danger and anxiety, on and off the dancefloor. It’s kind of a crossover between some subtle neuro and what we call intense halfstep. The monotonous (in a good way) vibe is NotioN’s signature sound: if you’re familiar with his music, you know what we mean.
The following track, “Send out the Patrol”, is another superb example of NotioN-esque halfstep vision. Minimalistic rolling halftempo breaks, sci-fi inspired atmospheres and samples, meticulously combined into a solid piece of what we call intelligence-meets-wilderness. Not many would argue.
Tune number 3 is called “Such Matters”. It’s all about a build-up: starting with a slowburning intro, mid-way it erupts into a top notch dancefloor killer - shall we say more? Spiced with cinematic atsmosphere and intensive kick patterns, it will do serious damage on any dancefloor.
The original release’s final track, “Thundered Dragon”, is NotioN’s self-exorcism to test the limits of his sound’s aggressiveness. With all the extreme force of this piece, one still grasps its intelligence and versatility. And what that mean? That mean every thinking drum & bass dj will weave this cut into his/her set.
“Embody the Shadow” is one of NotioN’s recent cuts that we love. So, it comes as no surprise that we added it as one of those two special tunes for the “Cannon Seeker” re-issue. Anybody down with us, knows that we don’t usually do anything with that thing called “vocals”. Here comes the day of exception – but hey, listen, it’s still pretty mystical and Burial-esque shall we say. Any more ingredients? – check those metallic breaks and the subtle bassline. All those add up to Eternia’s “summer tune”.
And we’re closing this extended play with another perfect example of NotioN’s sound, which encompasses dnb’s contemporary era. Ladies and gents, hear this, this here. “Of a Different Mould”. The neuro vibe, rich’n’sultry background sound: a perfect round-up tune, cause when it’s all said and done, it’s still all about the dancefloor.

Excellent release, the breaks are interesting and properly fleshed out, the bass is very strong and the pads have great amount of depth. Good job! sempiro
